Guo Gu will speak on the importance of cultivating Compassion for all Buddhist practitioners, and how to incorporate the Loving-kindness Practice in daily life.

guogu_p.jpgIn 1995, Guo Gu was given permission by Master Sheng Yen to teach (inka) Chan. He has led retreats in various parts of the United States, Europe, and Asia. He is now the guiding instructor for the Western Dharma Teachers at the Chan Meditation Center. He received his doctorate in Buddhist Studies in 2008 from Princeton University. Guo Gu is currently the resident teacher at the Tallahassee Chan Center and a professor of Buddhist Studies at the Florida State University.
